Message from James
Well, another year is coming to a close, and it's been a busy one for us here at Inspire Net, although nearly back on track from a Nearly Yearly Newsletter to an Almost Monthly one...

Our team has grown a lot this year, and we will be adding even more early in the New Year to cope with our growth. From our rural wireless to our fibre to the home and voice over IP, we seem to be rapidly growing in all directions, and our goal is to do this while maintaining or bettering our current customer service levels that we offer to you, our customers.

Some of the team headed off to the Westpac Manawatu Business Awards on Friday 11th November, and were very happy to receive the 'Spirit of the Manawatu Award', against some stiff competition from Mitre10 Mega Palmerston North and OBO Goalkeeping, both of which do an amazing job supporting our community also. A great night for the team and we really have to thank our entire team for their support, they're what makes this company what it is, and we couldn't do what we do without them. There were many other awards on the night, and I would like to congratulate all of them, including the Arohanui Hospice that we sponsor and who do an amazing job in our community, and DC Power who won several awards, including the Supreme Business Award, which I am sure was aided by the great service we give them. ☺

We also headed along to the Inspire Net Digi awards last Monday night, and what an amazing group of young creative and very talented kids. These kids are part of the future of our community, and it really blows us away what they can create and we're so proud to sponsor this event.

We have commissioned a large new wireless tower in Masterton, and also started building our first community champion towers down there for areas not covered by any reasonable service at present. If you know anyone down that way that is grumbling about their internet, please feel free to refer them to us to see what we can do for them.

We have our team Christmas function on Saturday, 10th December so we'll be closing up the Helpdesk a bit earlier at 3pm, so our whole team can celebrate the year together, and we'll be back with you on Sunday 11th December as per usual (although possibly the early morning shift may sound a little tired). Don't panic, we have a tame geek on call and at the ready just incase anything major happens to the network.

Message from Paul Watts, General Manager
Well we have been very busy with the run up to Christmas. We've had a huge demand from Farmside customers over the past few months wanting to move over and get connected to us before their Farmside contracts expire. The weather has been a major issue lately making it near impossible to get onto farms safely and without making a mess, so we're applying additional resources to our wireless installs to get the numbers down before our Christmas holiday period.

We have had a significant increase in customers wanting to add VOIP (Voice Over IP) as part of their installs in recent months so for any existing customers, if you've been thinking about getting rid of your traditional landline, you too can have this service - just give our Helpdesk a call to find out more or to arrange.

We also welcome Hadley to the Inspire Net team. Hadley is a Fibre/Wireless technician and is a great asset to our business. Our continued growth and our customers need for services in remote places that others shy away from will mean we will be advertising for additional staff in the New Year, keep an eye out on Facebook, Seek, Trade Me, or on the Inspire Net Website in About / Careers if you think you would like to join our team.

Last but not least, I would like to thank our team for all the effort they have put in this year. Our people make Inspire Net who we are and without them we wouldn't be the leading ISP for customer service.

Message from Pete, Helpdesk Manager
As we pull into the station at the end of the year we would like to welcome Tom, our newest member of the Helpdesk. He will be joining the rest of the team in providing our customer base with the award-winning support you all deserve, so if you catch him on the phone feel free to give him a friendly welcome.

We have locked in the purchase of our new desks for the Helpdesk team and should be renovating our office in February. We have a nifty plan in mind so this work shouldn't cause any disruption for our phone support. We will be posting pictures of the new setup once it's all in and looking great!
