It seems that Almost Monthly has become almost yearly more recently, so I have decided to turn over a new leaf and start to write these small updates on life here at Inspire Net a bit more regularly......
There are many changes afoot here at Inspire, so here is a quick rundown of a few.
Today we have finally launched our new website and are announcing our fibre based broadband plans for the new fibre network that the Government is funding around urban New Zealand; and better / bigger traffic caps on our current services.
Over the next few weeks we will beef out the website with more detail on some of our new services such as co-location in our shiny new Datacentre, web hosting services and many of the other things we do here at Inspire.
Inspire Net will be offering broadband and voice services over the fibre being laid in Palmerston North, Whanganui, Wellington and Blenheim; with Levin and Masterton coming online before Christmas, and Feilding as soon as fibre starts getting laid there next year. You can find information and pricing at http://www.inspire.net.nz/products/ufb.html
We have revamped all of our traffic caps for ADSL broadband connections (broadband delivered over your phoneline) and our Wireless services. Most traffic caps have doubled or better, and you will automatically be rolled onto your new traffic cap when your next monthly plan rolls over. Our most popular plans are our 20GByte plans on ADSL and on Wireless, and these have gone from 20Gbytes of traffic per month to 50Gytes; or for $10 more per month you can increase 100GBytes of traffic.
Additionally we have increased our "throttle on cap" speed from 64kbit to 128kbit. So if you go over your cap it won’t be so slow, and we have implemented an option where you can request a faster throttle on cap speed. Have a play on our new website to see the plans / speeds available.
We are launching a Voice over IP (VOIP) service on our fibre and wireless broadband plans, where you can get a phoneline delivered over your broadband for $15/month, with much cheaper toll rates, or for $40/month where you get 1000 minutes to NZ/UK/USA/Aus landlines, as well as 100 minutes to NZ mobile phones. There are a few "gotcha's" relating to it - if you have a monitored burglar alarm or St Johns medical alarm or similar - so feel free to discuss with us about your options if you are interested.
We have Direct Debit available for our customers, so if any of you would like to move over onto paying by Direct Debit, just give us a call and we can email you the paperwork.
We have a Facebook page for those of you who do the "facebook thing" https://www.facebook.com/InspireNetLimited where we will be putting up general bits about life at Inspire, as well as posting (if we have any) network outages. I don’t want to beg you to like us on Facebook, but we will be happy if you do :)
As always, I welcome any feedback you have about Inspire. Simply reply to this newsletter and it will make it straight to me. I am interested to hear any feedback on the new website (spelling mistakes, things you think are missing or would value having available), or about anything you feel Inspire can do better for you as a customer.
