We have had a fibre break in one of our major fibre cables between Palmerston North and Pahiatua, meaning some services are down that are fed along this fibre path. The fibre team are currently investigating, but we expect we will need to overlay a few hundred metres of fibre, ETA for repair 6pm at this stage. Update 08:36 - this is impacting email for some customers due to connections between the mail stores in each data centre only servicing either Palmerston North side or Pahiatua side, Technicians are working a fix while we are working on the fibre fault Update 09:58 - Miscreants have broken into the bridge across the Manawatu river and cut many fibre cables, 2 large ones of ours plus several other providers. Our staff are onsite and starting to re-join our fibres. Current ETA for return to full service for anyone impacted is 2pm Update 11:38 - The majority of core services are back online as we have jointed the most important parts of the fibre cable. Technicians are continuing to splice the remaining services, current ETA for complete restore of services 2pm Update 14:14 - Services are all restored |

If you are still struggling to get a connection, give us a call on 0800 484 363 ---- We have had damage from the weather at our tower at Wharite impacting about 80 customers. It is unsafe to get people there tonight, so we will have a team onsite by approximately 9am tomorrow morning 9/7/2026 to diagnose and repair. |

Hi everyone, Now that the weather has improved, our teams are getting to work on repairs across our Inspire Rural Wireless network. Technicians have been deployed and are carrying out repairs as safely as possible. Please note that some repair work is still restricted due to ongoing road closures in certain areas.
