Mid-winter newsletter
As winter slowly falls upon us, some more so than others, our wireless team has gone into maintenance mode looking after any storm damage to our towers and customer equipment. Our fibre team is pressing on with the build work in Makino Road, Halcombe and the area around Bunnythorpe, although it gets harder as ground gets wetter and days so much shorter.
This time is a good time of year for future planning and working on internal projects, and we have been finalising testing a new customer router option that allows for additional mesh repeaters around your house, along with access via an app for parental control and time of day access. We are looking to launch these in the near future, as our standard router bundled with our connections, with each additional mesh router to cover more of your house will be $9/month, fully supported by our helpdesk team.
It’s time for a long weekend, the shortest day has passed and Matariki is upon us, and we are now on the downhill run in to Spring.
Our office and helpdesk will be closed for the public holiday on Friday, but staff will be back on deck at the helpdesk on Saturday. Be rest assured the network team that keeps everything running will still be around for anything that happens in our core network.
Stay safe, keep warm and dry, unless cold and wet is your thing 😊

Tips from our Helpdesk
- Did you know that you can pay your bill in the following ways:
Direct debit we can do. Just ask and we can send you our direct debit form. Fill it out and send it back. This is helpful for paying your account if the amount changes per month and you can’t be bothered making manual payments
Credit card payments on our website. You just need to log into your account via my.inspire.net.nz feel free to get in touch if you do not know your login details. You can also check your usage here too.
-
Did you know that your devices can still use your internet service even when you aren’t actively using them? Smartphones, tablets, computers, and even smart TVs can use data in the background to install updates, sync information, refresh content, and stay connected to online services. If you’re trying to reduce data use, consider turning devices off when not needed, or disconnecting unused devices from your home Wi-Fi.
-
Are the kids home for the school holidays and using up your data? Feel free to give us a call if you’d like to temporarily increase your plan for the month.
