Christmas Newsletter 2025
It is amazing how quickly these Christmas gigs seem to come around, I guess it is a sign of how busy all our lives are these days, but it feels like I only just wrote the last one of these.
Here at Inspire we have had a busy year (like always it seems)
- We have been merging in the Rural Wireless Ltd customers to our network, moving them to fibre where possible, and we are down to the last few. We will be discontinuing all legacy Rural Wireless Ltd services on 31st of January 2026, with the intention to close the company on March 31st 2026. I would like to apologise to Rural Wireless users as it appears a bug in their legacy systems had stopped you receiving our more recent newsletters
- We have rolled out our new pricing, lifting our prices by as little as possible, and we launched our new entry level fibre plan that has proven very popular in these current tighter times
- Our rural fibre build for Feilding, Colyton and Hiwinui through to Palmerston North is more-or-less complete, and our contracting teams are now starting to build Kimbolton Road and Makino Road. We are now working hard to get people connected to the fibre that we have built past their houses, but there are a lot of people wanting to connect so some of these are taking longer than we would like
- Our new website went live on the 3rd November, and it looks like we have covered off any teething issues.
- We are currently well into planning major upgrades to our core network for next year to cater for our ever-growing customer base.

Helpdesk tips
- Check Your Payment Amounts
With our recent pricing changes, it’s a good idea to double-check that your automatic payments are set to the correct amount. If you’d prefer not to manage this manually, we offer direct debit. Give us a call or email we can send you our direct debit form to fill out.
If you’re already using direct debit, no action is needed; it will automatically adjust to match your invoices.
- Quick WiFi Troubleshooting
If you find a device (laptop, tablet, phone etc) can’t get online, start by checking whether other devices in your home can connect. Can they get to google? Youtube? Facebook?
– If other devices can connect: try rebooting the device that’s having trouble. Sometimes its as easy as turning it off then on again 😊
– If no devices can connect: power off your Inspire Net router, wait 10 seconds, turn it back on, and give it about five minutes to fully restart before checking your connection again.

Accounts
We have been having a number of Direct Debits fail on a daily basis when we go to process the payment out of customer accounts.
While this is our preferred way to pay your account, please ensure you do have the funds available for this payment to clear your account on the due date, to prevent services being put on hold.

Staff Christmas Dinner
This year we are celebrating with a function on Friday the 12th of December.
Our Helpdesk will be closing earlier so all staff can attend at 4:30pm. They will be back on deck at 9am Saturday morning.
Our reception will be closed on the stat days over the break and our Helpdesk is open every day other than Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Note: weekend and Public holiday hours are 9am to 6pm.

Well, 2025 was supposed to be the light at the end of the tunnel for everyone, that light hasn’t appeared yet, however there are some very early signs that 2026 should be a better year for all!
