Fibre Outage – Wellington Area

Hi everyone, We’re currently experiencing a fibre outage affecting services in the larger Wellington area. Our team is aware of the issue and is working closely with our upstream providers to get it resolved as quickly as possible.

We’re currently experiencing a wireless service issue across parts of the Manawatū–Whanganui region.

A large number of our access points (APs) unexpectedly changed frequencies overnight, due to wireless interference across the area.

Our Network Operations Centre (NOC) is actively working on the issue by reconfiguring the affected APs. This process is underway and may take some time to complete.

If you're affected: Give our helpdesk a call (0800 484 363) and we can walk you through rebooting your Subscriber Unit ( Aerial located on your property).

Planned Email Maintenance – Sunday 1st June, Midnight to 6:00am

Hi Everyone,

We’ll be doing some maintenance on our email system early Sunday morning (1st June), from midnight until 6:00am.

During this time:

  • You won’t be able to receive or read new emails.
  • Any emails sent to you during this time might be delayed, but they should arrive once everything is back to normal.
  • You may still be able to send emails, but we recommend waiting until after the maintenance is complete just to be safe.

We are experiencing issues currently due to a DDos attack on our network. Our Network Team are aware of the issue and are working on a resolution as we speak.

Update 07/01/2025 - 3:31PM Our Network Team have successfully mitigated the issue for the time being. General web surfing should be back to normal thankfully. Due to some of the changes we have had to make to get around the DDos however, some services such as email (receiving emails from international locations), domains and other interactions with our DNS servers, may still be affected. Update 10/01/2025 - 4:20PM No news is good news! We haven’t experienced any further attacks. Rest assured our technicians will continue monitoring services around the clock. Additionally, our backup helpdesk agents are on standby to assist should another incident occur. Lets hope for an uneventful weekend. Take care everyone!

Inspire Net mail server maintenance: Thurs 21/11/2024 2AM - 5AM

Our mail storage platform experienced a minor issue earlier today. To ensure everything continues to run smoothly, we'll be performing a pre-emptive reboot early in the morning for maintenance checks, during which our mail services will be offline. Incoming mail during this time will remain queued and should be received once services are brought back online.
