What is the Consumer Plan?
Our consumer plan is a cost effective internet connection designed predominantly for home users and is backed by our award winning phone support which is available during our helpdesk hours 9am-9pm 7 days a week. For this service we can provide onsite support which is available during our standard business hours (9am – 5 pm).
How Much Does it Cost?
With the exception of the Starter Plan*, Inspire MetroLAN connections are comprised of two components which need to be selected by the customer. The first component is the connection speed and the second component is the traffic plan.
There are two speed plans available. The actual speed will vary depending on your location and what part of our network you can be connected to.
We have various data plans available to suite your usage requirements. Once you reach your data limit your connection will slow down to 64Kbits/s. If you have varying data requirements you also have the option to be billed for more data rather than getting slowed down.

Installation Costs
Installation of MetroLAN will cost $300 for a wireless connection and $750 for an Ethernet connection. If you are located outside the Palmerston North area, there may be additional travel charges. Inspire Net will determine and inform you which connection is available for your location once we have performed a feasibility study. MetroLAN connections have a 12 month minimum term and will incur an early disconnection fee if disconnected within the minimum term.

*The 1GB Starter Plan is only available up to 4MBit/s and on certain parts of our network. There is no pay over cap option for the Starter Plan.
**Connection speed depends on which part of our network is available at your location. Ethernet/Fibre connections can connect at up to 10MBit/s on the Lite plan and 100MBit/s on the Full Speed plan. Our new wireless network can download at up to 4MBit/s with upload at 1MBit/s on the Lite plan and 4MBit/s with upload at 4MBit/s on the Full Speed plan. Our older wirless network can connect at up to 1MBit/s on the Lite plan and 2MBit/s on the Full Speed plan
