About you:
You are an indiviual that possesses great people skills, stong computer skills, and a passion about all that is Internet. You will be able to work alone as well as part of a small team, and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure total customer satisfaction. You will need to be well presented, punctual and dedicated.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Windows 95, 98, ME, 2k, XP, in particular TCP/IP, Dial-up networking, all versions of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express,
- Firm understanding of how the Internet works, and how Internet applications work,
- Experience with ADSL modems and routers,
- Strong problem solving skills,
- Excellent phone manner and communication skills,
- Tidy appearance,
- Basic understanding of accounts, invoicing and payments,
- Good work ethic and the ability to fit into a small, diverse team.
Other useful skills:
- Knowledge of other Operating Systems, e.g. Mac, Linux
- Knowledge of other Internet applications, e.g. Outlook, Eudora, Incredimail, Netscape
- Experience in a call centre environment,
- Experience with TCP/IP networking,
- Understanding of Domain names, the NZ & international domain name system and web-hosting/HTML/PHP.
- Your responsibilities would include:
- 1st and 2nd level helpdesk support to Dial-up customers,
- ADSL helpdesk support,
- Basic assistance with account queries,
- Computer maintenance and repair.
Remuneration
- Starting rate on our helpdesk is a salary of $26,000/year,
40 hours per week, some shift work between the hours of 9am and 9pm.
